Free after-hours HSC study sessions open at Bayside libraries

Year 12 students can use Eastgardens and Rockdale libraries after hours for study, wellbeing support and a quieter place to prepare for exams.

Year 12 students preparing for the HSC can use four free after-hours study sessions at Eastgardens and Rockdale libraries from Tuesday 29 September.

Bayside Council says the sessions will give students a calm place to study, take a break and connect with other Year 12 students during the exam period. HSC resources, mental health and wellbeing information, mindful activities and snacks will also be available.

Eastgardens Library will host sessions on Tuesday 29 September and Monday 12 October, both from 6pm to 8pm.

Rockdale Library will host sessions on Tuesday 6 October and Friday 16 October, also from 6pm to 8pm.

The events are only for current Year 12 students. Students will need to show their student ID when they arrive.

There is one temporary change for other library users. Rockdale Library will close to the general public at 5.30pm on Tuesday 6 October, then reopen at 6pm for students attending the HSC session.

The sessions are free and are aimed at giving local students extra support and study space during one of the busiest parts of their final school year.
