Volunteers invited to Bayside beach clean-up

Community clean-up will target the Grand Parade foreshore on 26 September

Volunteers are being invited to help clean the Bayside foreshore along the Grand Parade on Saturday 26 September.

The community clean-up is being organised through Clean Up Australia and Friends in Cultivation, with the registered site covering the Brighton-Le-Sands and Kyeemagh beach area.

When and where

The registered Clean Up Australia event runs from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday 26 September. The meeting point is listed near the Steel Crab sculpture by the Kyeemagh Beach car park, with the clean-up focused on the coastal area along the Grand Parade.

People who take part will help remove litter from the beach and foreshore. The event is open to community volunteers and is aimed at keeping a heavily used part of the Bayside coastline cleaner for residents and visitors.

How to take part

The event has been registered with Clean Up Australia. Anyone planning to join should check the official event page before attending for the latest meeting details and organiser instructions.

The clean-up is one of the practical ways local residents can volunteer around Botany Bay. Beach litter can move through drains, parks and waterways, so removing rubbish from the foreshore also helps reduce the amount that can reach the bay.
